Foundation Level Coaching Course is on this Saturday. It starts at 9.15 participants should be there at 9.00 and should note that this course is in St Malachy’s Parochial Hall. Pre-registration is a must and this can be done by contacting Seamus O’Hanlon. All doing this course should bring running shoes and football boots as this course will be conducted inside and outside.
Any juvenile member of the club that would like to take part in a young whistler’s course to be run in late February-early March should contact Seamus O’Hanlon. This course entitles young lads or girls to referee primary school and Go Games matches, blitzes and tournaments. We are not going to force anyone that does this course to referee outside of the club and even if you have no intention of refereeing you should sign up for it as if for no other reason you shall learn the rules of the game. How many of you have ever seen a rule book?
Love them, or hate them there’d be no games without them. Currently the County are preparing to train new Football, Hurling and Ladies Football referees. This is an entirely different course from the young whistlers’ course and is for anyone that would like to try refereeing and see if they can improve the standards of our games. Anyone interested should contact any committee member.
Anyone wanting to join the Running Club should meet at Hillyard House at 6.45 on Tuesday with John A McEvoy. Everyone welcome. Contact no 07753639696
