Woman threatened with firearm in Newtownhamilton
Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following the report of an armed robbery in Newtownhamilton yesterday (Saturday 14th January).
It was reported that at approximately 2.15pm as a woman was walking past a parked blue car with three men inside it in the Dundalk Street area one of the males asked for assistance. When she approached the car she was threatened with a suspected firearm and told to hand over money by the man in the passenger seat. A sum of money was handed over and the car made off in the direction of Armagh. This man was described as being in his early 30’s, medium build with a pale complexion and short dark hair and was wearing blue jeans and a blue, white and black coloured shirt. He is believed to have spoken with a local accent.
