Burglary in The Glen after man distracts house owner

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following the report of a distraction burglary in The Glen area on Friday 13th January. It was reported that at approx 4.30pm a male called to a house requesting water for his van which was parked nearby. When the occupant of the house went to get water it is believed the male entered the property and made off with a handbag and other personal items. The man was described as being middle aged with a dark complexion and was driving a small white coloured van. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Ardmore on 0845 600 8000.
