Street trading and outdoor entertainment will move to the Kildare Street area of Newry next year as a major environmental improvement scheme commences in Hill Street early in the new year. Other events due to take place as part of the festivities are:

  • The traditional Ceili that normally takes place in Marcus Square, will now take place at 2pm in Newry City Hall.
  • Annual St Patrick’s Day parade.
  • A funfair will be based at St Christopher’s Park.
  • St Patrick’s Church on Church Street will host a special ecumenical service for post Primary School students celebrating the life of St Patrick during the week prior to the 17th March.
