Snowfall leads to treacherous driving conditions

The late night snow fall in the Newry and Mourne area tonight has led to treacherous driving conditions for motorists. Belleek on the outskirts of Newry is believed to be particularly bad, with reports reaching Newry Times that at least one car-crash has occurred. Nobody was injured in the collision.

Temperatures have recently dipped as we enter into the first week of December, after what has been an unusually mild winter season so far. Temperatures will remain low throughout Monday with further chance of snow. However, the forecast indicates that temperatures are expected to rise throughout the week, meaning that the snow may not be prominent.
