Information sought after cattle theft on Tierny Road

Tierny Road is a quiet part of County Down

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information following the theft of six cattle from a yard on Tierny Road, Newry.

The cattle were discovered missing at 11.45am on Saturday 3rd December. The cows received a dosage of anti-parasite medication Alverin Plus on 29th November, which means that they are not allowed into the food chain for 66 days.

This is a remote area and police are appealing to anyone who observed a large vehicle, capable of carrying six cattle, around the area prior to and on 3rd December, to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
