Local Government Boundaries Commissioner Sarah Havlin has published her provisional recommendations.

The Commissioner’s task is to review and make recommendations in respect of the number, boundaries and names of the 11 local government districts and the number, boundaries and names of the wards into which each district is divided, in line with the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972.

There will now be an 8 week period of public consultation.

The closing date for written representations is 21st September 2021.

Following this period, a series of public hearings will be held, one for each District.
