Barcroft street resurfacing to start soon

Newry MLA Liz Kimmins has said it has been confirmed that the resurfacing of 4th Street in Barcroft will commence shortly.

Welcoming the news, the Sinn Féin MLA said, “Department for Infrastructure representatives have confirmed that work on resurfacing the road  along 4th Street in Barcroft will commence within weeks.

“This is to be welcomed as the road surface was in a terrible state and its condition was causing huge frustration to local residents and motorists.



“I am delighted that our highlighting of these concerns about the roads conditions have been accepted and will now be addressed.”

“Hopefully the resurfacing works involved will not cause too much inconvenience to local residents.



The Newry & Armagh MLA added, “I will keep all updated of the works schedule when Roads Service make them fully known.”
