18-year-old man charged with Newry burglary

Detectives investigating a burglary at residential premises in the Cregganduff Road area of Newry on Tuesday 19 November have charged an 18-year-old man with burglary.

Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Sergeant Bell said, “The man, aged 18, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

“He is currently assisting police with enquiries.

 

 

“Investigations are ongoing and we would continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact detectives in Ardmore on 101, quoting reference 783 19/11/19.

“Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime,” he added.

 

 

The man appeared at Newry Magistrates Court on Saturday 7 December.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
