Firmus confirms Camlough pipeline extension

Local MP Mickey Brady has confirmed that Firmus Gas have confirmed they intend to extend their Gas Pipeline from the Green Road to Camlough.

The Sinn Féin MP was commenting after he had facilitated a meeting with senior company officers to discuss the provision of their services.

 

 

Mickey, who was accompanied by Oonagh Magennis and Cllr Roisin Mulgrew added, “Local businesses, in particular, felt that they needed an option of being able to access Firmus Gas services, stating that they believed it could be cheaper, more competitive and would give more choice.”

Oonagh Magennis welcomed the news and stated, “After significant lobbying from my colleagues and local businesses Firmus agreed to carry out a feasibility study.

 

 

“The confirmation of their intentions to extend their service will be received favourably.”

Councillor Mulgrew said, “It is anticipated that the work will commence towards the end of the year.”
