The Southern Health and Social Care Trust has launched a new campaign to increase the number of domiciliary care workers helping clients live in the comfort of their own homes.

A career in domiciliary care is ideal for a compassionate person who would like to help improve a client’s daily routine.

The campaign involves a number of ‘Recruitment Open Days’ and shows that there are many benefits from working in domiciliary care.

Many workers have enjoyed long-term, successful careers providing care in people’s homes. Others have gained from the experience and benefited from development opportunities offered by the Trust.

Melanie McClements, Director of Older People and Primary Care said, “In the Southern Trust we are committed to promoting a better quality of life for every patient and client.

“In our area, thankfully we have an increasing number of older patients living longer and some of these with more complex needs.

“We are recruiting Domiciliary Care Workers to help provide end of life care, support our older population and clients with learning disabilities and physical disabilities to live with dignity, for as long as possible in their own homes where they want to be.

She added, “So if you are kind, caring and would like to help people live more independently, you could be the ideal candidate to work with our domiciliary care teams in the Trust.”

To apply, fill out an online application today at www.hscrecruit.com or attend one of the Recruitment Open Days (listed below) where candidates will complete a short interview on the day.
