Warrenpoint Town Football Club has announced that Jonny Parr and Jordan Dane have signed a new 2 year extension.

Jonny Parr played his first game for the ‘Point back in 2011 and since then he has been a reliable and consistent player.

A Spokesperson for the club said, “We are delighted he has signed a 2-year extension. Jonny has a wealth of experience and is arguably one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Jonny is also a good player to have around the team to help give the younger players guidance.

Speaking about Dane’s contract extension, the Spokesperson continued, “Jordan Dane has been a very important player for the team since joining in July 2015 from Glenavon.

“Jordan made his debut back in 2015 against Annagh United and has played a huge role in helping us tighten things up at the back. Jordan and Jonny played a big part in helping us win the league and cup double last season.

“Since returning from injury this season, Jordan has been a rock in defence and helped tighten things up and has also contributed in some goals.”

Chairman Connaire Mc Greevy said, “We are delighted that the two lads have extended their contracts. Jordan and Jonny are two good quality players and they have a good attitude and that is the sort of players we want to have here at the club.

He added, “We always aim to go to higher levels and we are confident that these two players can play a role in helping us achieve this.”
