‘Opposition proposal on housing bizarre’ – Boylan

Cathal BoylanSinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has said it’s bizarre that the opposition in the Assembly “actually proposed to build less houses than the Executive”. The Armagh MLA called for the Housing Executive to be given the resources to build more social housing during a debate on housing provision. “Demand for social housing is an issue that all elected representatives are familiar with and one which we deal with on a daily basis. “It was therefore bizarre that the opposition in the Assembly actually proposed to build less houses than the Executive. You couldn’t make this up! “We are committed to addressing need and I believe the Housing Executive should be given the financial resources to build more social houses.
