Local politicians have expressed their condolences to the family of a man who was killed on a construction site in Warrenpoint over the weekend. Church Street, WarrenpointThe man died after an incident at a building site in Church Street, Warrenpoint on Friday, 30th September. Speaking to Newry Times, Ritchie said, “The tragic death of a young man working at a site on Church Street is shocking and the thoughts and prayers of the local community are with his family circle. “The town of Warrenpoint has been deeply moved by this horrible incident where a young man out to earn his living has had his life tragically cut short.” Sinn Fein MLA Caitríona Ruane stated, “The death of a young man in an incident at a building site in Warrenpoint has caused shock and sadness in the local community. The Health and Safety Executive are investigating the circumstances of his death.
