£20,000 of bikes stolen in Kilbroney Park burglary

Police have launched an investigation after they received a report of a burglary at premises in the Kilbroney Park area of Rostrevor.

kilbroney parkSometime overnight on Saturday, 23rd July the premises were entered and a quantity of mountain bikes stolen.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable D McCartan appealed to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Police at Ardmore on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 402 23/07/16.

Police would also asked anyone who is offered a mountain bike for sale in suspicious circumstances to also contact Police.

Speaking to BBC Northern Ireland, East Coast Adventure said the theft had put its business in jeopardy. The bikes were valued at approximately £20,000.
