Road signs damaged throughout Newry, Mourne and Down

Police are appealing for information following the report of criminal damage being caused to a number of road signs in the following areas of Newry and Down District Council area.

psni44Damage was caused to signs on the A25 Castlewellan Road between Rathfriland and Castlewellan, the A50 Ballyward Road, the A49 Magheraknock Road between Lisburn and Ballynahinch, the A24 Carryduff Road between Carryduff and Saintfield.

Signs at the A21 Saintfield Road between Ballygowan and Saintfield and the A22 Killyleagh Road at Balloo were also targeted.

Speaking to Newry Times, Inspector O’Connor appealed to anyone who has any information about these incidents to contact Police at Downpatrick on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 926 05/07/16.
