Newry to host UEFA Euro 2016 Matches on Big Screen

To celebrate the success of the Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland Football teams qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament in France, Newry City Centre Management in partnership with Newry, Mourne & Down District Council are hosting two family fun days for the following matches on the Big Screen at the Events Space in Hill Street: euro 2016Saturday 18th June 2016 Belgium V Republic of Ireland 2:00pm – 4:00pm Events Space, Hill Street Tuesday 21st June 2016 Northern Ireland V Germany 5:00pm – 7:00pm Events Space, Hill Street Entertainment includes inflatable penalty shootout, face painting, balloon modelling, Bouncy Castle and Foot Pool, and much more… Both events are free family fun events and everyone is welcome. Please be advised that the area is an Alcohol Free Zone. Newry Chairperson Gillian Fitzpatrick said she was delighted that fans who were unable to go to France to watch their teams play will have the opportunity to see them on the Big Screen at the Events Space in Hill Street. “This will be an opportunity to come out and enjoy a family fun afternoon and cheer on both teams,” she said.
