New District Commander for Newry, Mourne and Down

Superintendent Paul Reid has taken up the post of District Commander for Newry, Mourne and Down. Supt Paul Reid - 2Supt Reid has moved to NMD District from Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon where he held the position of Performance Chief Inspector. The new District Commander brings a wealth of experience to the role with almost 30 years policing experience. Superintendent Reid said, “I am delighted with my new appointment and am keen to build on and develop the excellent work and partnerships which already exist here. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues and the community across Newry, Mourne and Down. “I am also pleased to welcome Chief Inspector Joe McMinn and Chief Inspector Bernard O’ Connor to the management team.

He added, “We will continue to work tirelessly to prevent, detect and deter crime across Newry, Mourne and Down.”
