Cuan Mhuire Annual Coffee Morning

Cuan Mhuire Newry is holding its annual fundraising Coffee Morning on Saturday 5th March and Sr Consilio Fitzgerald, founder of Cuan Mhuire, has extended an invitation to all to come along and enjoy the day.

cuan5The Kerry born Sister of Mercy Nun founded her first Cuan Mhuire Centre in Athy County Kildare in 1966.

The event promises to be a family day with delicious Homemade Cakes, Breads, Popcorn, Crepes, Pizza and Coffee as well as Hot Chocolate, an Arts & Crafts Stall, Raffles and much more.

Sr Shiela Cronin extended an invitation to all on behalf of Sr Consilio. “We couldn’t continue our work without the wonderful generosity of families, communities and individuals.We really appreciate their support.

“On behalf of the Cuan Mhuire family I extend an invitation to all to feel free and call into our Coffee Morning at our Newry Facility on the Old Dublin Road on Saturday between 10am and 2pm.”

LearnSpark1Newry and Mourne Chairperson Michael Ruane visited the Cuan Mhuire Centre to launch the Coffee morning and offer his congratulations to Cuan Mhuire on the Charity’s 50th anniversary.

He stated, “Cuan Mhuire since its formation in 1966 by Sr. Consilio, Cuan Mhuire has treated over 75,000 people. Now more than ever the life saving and changing services on offer from Cuan Mhuire are desperately needed and I wish Sr Consilio and the Cuan Mhuire family well in their continued endeavours to help those in need.”
