Popular Channel 4 television show Come Dine With Me has confirmed to Newry Times that they will be filming in Newry and urged local people to apply.

CDWM1Come Dine With Me will be shot in Newry, Lisburn, Portadown and Armagh between 6th – 11th December 2015.

A Spokesman said, “We’re after anyone over 18 who loves cooking and meeting new people (and winning money!). Send your area and phone number to cdwm@shiver.tv and get your shot at that £1000 prize!”

Come Dine with Me has been hugely popular since its first broadcast ten years ago in 2005. The show usually has four or five amatuer chefs who each host a dinner party on consecutive nights for the other contestants.

CDWM3Each contestant then rates the host’s performance out of ten; the quality of the food and entertainment usually contribute to the final rating. The winner bags a cool £1000 in cash.

Contestants must submit their menu in advance and it must consist of a starter, a main and a dessert/pudding. Comedian Dave Lamb provides a sarcastic narration of the TV favourite.

For people wanting to apply all you have to do is email cdwm@shiver.tv where you will get a bounce back email containing some questions to answer as part of the application.
