Man, 36, arrested in Newry as part of dissident republican investigation

Detectives from Serious Crime Branch have arrested a 36 year old man as part of an ongoing investigation into what they have described as ‘dissident republican terrorist activity’. psni13The suspect was arrested in the Newry area on the morning of Sunday 18th October and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning. A property was also searched as part of the investigation. A 35 year old man arrested in west Belfast yesterday has been released unconditionally. Three other men, aged 39, 40 and 47 remain in custody.
