Man injured after beach attack

Police in Kilkeel are appealing for information following an assault in Cranfield in August. psni44On Friday, 21st August, a 27 year old man was walking from the beach close to the children’s play park when he met a group of young males. They engaged in conversation before the man walked on. He was in the vicinity of the main road between the mini roundabout at Amercam Lane and Chestnut’s Caravan Park when he was assaulted by a number of people. He sustained facial injuries and cuts and bruising to his body. Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information that may assist their investigation. They can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 1465 220815.
