Man injured in South Armagh hit and run

Local police are appealing for information following a hit and run.

psni7At around 8.55pm on Wednesday, 1st July, a 30 year old man was cycling along Aghadavoyle Road, near the junction of Drumintee Road in Meigh, when he was knocked from his bike by a blue vehicle, possibly a Ford.

The vehicle did not stop. The cyclist sustained injuries to his face, shoulder, elbow and legs.

Speaking to NewryTimes, Constable Kathryn Young explained, “The blue vehicle turned right onto Aghadavoyle Road from the direction of Drumintee.

“We are appealing to the driver of the vehicle or anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us in Newtownhamilton on 101, quoting ref: 1336 010715.”
