68 year old woman mugged in Newry

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a street robbery. psni13At around 8.20pm on Thursday, 16th April a 68 year old woman was walking from the car park towards Daisy Hill Hospital when a man approached her from behind, grabbed her handbag and ran off. The man is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, of slim build and was wearing a grey hoody which covered his face and head. He ran off towards the Carnagat area. Calling for witnesses, Constable Tom Nugent told Newry Times, “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has information which may assist our investigation.
