Man suffers broken jaw after Hilltown assault
Police in South Down are again calling for witnesses to come forward after an assault in the Main Street area of Hilltown in the early hours of Sunday 1st February.
At around 1.30am, a man was assaulted by a number of males outside a fast food takeaway outlet and suffered a broken jaw as a result.
Investigating officer, Constable Paula Maxwell is appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or for the driver of a black Toyota Avensis car who gave assistance to the injured party following the assault, to contact officers in Kilkeel on 101 quoting reference number 638020215.
Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
