SDLP MLA for Newry and Armagh Dominic Bradley has condemned those who burgled the home of a pensioner in Mullaghbawn. Commenting on the incident Bradley said, “This is another despicable crime carried out in the mouth of Christmas at the home of a vulnerable pensioner by heartless people who have no concern whatsoever for those they hurt. “People in Mullaghbawn and further afield are appalled by the heartless individuals who committed this crime and want them apprehended as quickly as possible. “It is important that we all look out for our older neighbours at this time of year and that we report anything which gives rise to suspicion to the police as quickly as possible. I have spoken to police about the importance of quick response times in these and other circumstances and I am content that targets are being met. He added, “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything or who has any information which could assist police to contact their nearest police station.”
