Man, 47, assaulted in early morning Newry attack

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in fast food premises on Monaghan Street. At around 2.30am on Monday, 6th October, a fight broke out in fast food premises and a 47 year old man was assaulted. Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Philip Kelly, Newry Response, explained, “A number of people were present at the time and I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident. “We can be contacted in Newry on the 101 number.” If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
