Extensive damage caused to house after arson attack

Police in South Down are appealing for information following arson at a house on Kinghill Road, Cabra. Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Raymond Clarke, Kilkeel Response, explained, “We received a report of a house on fire around 3.20am on Thursday, 11th September. We attended along with NIFRS. “Fortunately the house was unoccupied at the time however extensive damage was caused. “We are treating this as arson and I would appeal to anyone who noticed any activity around the house between midnight and 3am or anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact us in Kilkeel on the 101 number.” If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
