6 year old boy injured in Newry hit and run

Police in Newry are appealing for information after a report of a one vehicle hit and run incident at the Chapel Street area of the city on Saturday 19th April.

At around 1:50pm, it was reported that a six year old boy was struck by a black Ford Focus in the area.

The boy was taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury that is not believed to be life threatening.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police in Newry on the new non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 769190414
