Jobcentreonline is the Department for Employment and Learning’s free job search website which enables users to search for jobs across Northern Ireland.
The website advertises all vacancies notified to Jobcentres and Jobs & Benefits offices.
Davy Doyle, Local Office Manager for Newry Jobs & Benefits office in the Department’s Employment Service explained, “Jobcentreonline.com is an invaluable resource for anyone looking for a job in Northern Ireland or even further afield. It’s flexible and easy to use for anyone with internet access.
“There are also ‘job point’ kiosks available in all Job Centres and Jobs & Benefits offices. Staff will help you get details of all the support services available to you, including how to register on jobcentreonline and how to join training programmes.”
The Department also has Careers Resource Centres located in Ann Street, Belfast, Richmond Chamber, Derry, and Thomas Street, Dungannon, where jobseekers and job changers can use the internet and search free of charge. .
Davy continued, “The website provides a variety of options to search for jobs and your searches can be filtered or refined to suit your exact requirements, for example job title, location or even all vacancies!
“There is also an advanced search facility which displays all vacancies under the Department’s programmes aimed at helping people into work, such as the Youth Employment Scheme, Steps to Work, Training for Success and Bridge to Employment.
“Registering with JobCentreOnline is easy and brings many benefits including the facility to apply for vacancies online. Step by step help is available to guide you through the registration process.
“Jobseekers can narrow searches to view vacancies which are of specific interest to them. Texts and SMS alerts can be sent directly to advise clients when a new vacancy which matches their search has been notified.”
Jobcentreonline also provides links to jobs across the European Union.
