Minister Carál Ni Chuilín spent the day in Newry and South Armagh on Wednesday 6th November to visit a number of cultural and sporting organisations.

Commenting on the Minister’s engagement with the Board of Management of Ti Chulainn Cultural Centre Megan Fearon MLA said, “There is huge potential in Ti Chulainn to become the premier cultural centre for the people of South Armagh and for visitors to the area.

“The fact that the centre has accommodation incorporated makes it the perfect venue for tourists who want to find out more about South Armagh.”

Minister Ni Chuilín also stopped at the renowned Camlough Lake where she met with Camlough Lake Committee members who outlined their plans to her.

Commenting on a visit to Newry Rugby Club Mickey Brady MLA said, “Carál has had a whistle stop tour of a variety of sports and cultural groups today.

“I know that she was very impressed with the work being done by those who volunteer their time in these groups and hopefully her department can support them in the future.”
