Newry Sinn Féin MLA Mickey Brady has described the receipt of a ‘Justice Champion’ award by Liz Kimmins and Ewan Morgan of Community Restorative Justice Newry & Armagh as “recognition for the practical work being done by CRJ to make our communities safer.” Speaking to Newry Times, Brady said, “I am delighted to hear that local CRJ workers Liz and Ewan have been presented with this award. “I fully support the work that CRJ does here in Newry and I am aware of many instances where disputes have been settled, conflicts resolved and neighbourliness restored by these community representatives. “In addition CRJ is involved in a programme of work to help ensure that those who may be in danger of engaging in antisocial behaviour at particular times can avail of diversionary programmes. Brady added, “It is wonderful when good work gets the commendation it deserves and I would like to add my congratulations to the entire CRJ team in Ballybot House.”
