“The third annual PIPS 10k/5k took place on Sunday morning and many family and friends of loved ones lost through suicide participated in the event,” Pat told Newry Times.

“This is an event that means a lot to many including myself. In a very practical way we are saying to people that we haven’t forgot their loss and also we are highlighting the sensitive issues of suicide and self harm.

“Well done to all involved in organising the Run and the Walk. It is important to let the message be heard loud and clear, there is help for those facing crisis and personal turmoil.

McGinn added, “Thanks be to God for the good people of PIPS who help provide efficient, accessible, confidential crisis services for those individuals and families who seek them.”
