Sinn Féin councillor Terry Hearty has urged rural dwellers to participate in the upcoming public meeting which the Department of Agriculture is hosting in the Armagh City Hotel on Thursday 12th September.

Sinn Fein Councillor Terry Hearty

“This event’, councillor Hearty said, “Offers the opportunity for those involved in farming and other rural enterprises to have their say on the new Rural Development Programme for 2014 – 2020.

“It is also a chance to hear what is being proposed for the new programme and will therefore be of interest to any farming support groups.

Hearty added, “The event is running from 7.00pm – 9.00pm in Armagh City Hotel and anyone interested can obtain more information by emailing ruralpolicy.branch@dardni.gov.uk.”
