The jobs are part of an ongoing expansion programme by Norbrook Laboratories Ltd which has already seen 230 new staff join the company since January 2013.

The jobs will range across multiple disciplines including production, scientific analysis, research, finance and engineering.

“These new positions have been created as part of our long-term expansion strategy to increase the capacity and capabilities of our facilities in Northern Ireland in order to meet the growing global demand for our products and services,” explained James Gibbs, Recruitment Manager, Norbrook Laboratories Ltd.

“The new jobs will be spread right across the full spectrum of our operation and will range from high-end, senior positions through to committed and motivated production operatives, all offering extremely competitive and attractive salaries.

“At the moment, we currently have 21 jobs live on our website which include Analytical Science Graduates, Quality Assurance Inspector, Production Supervisor/Chemist, Facilities Manager, Commercial Solicitor and Chemical Engineer.”

Norbrook is a leading manufacturer of veterinary pharmaceuticals and contract manufactures for all of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world at its three plants in Newry.

In recent years the company has invested £150 million in expanding its facilities in Newry with new production suites, warehousing and office space. It invests 10% of annual turnover in research and development.

“Norbrook is a true Northern Ireland success story which has defied the recession by continuing to grow and expand in recent years,” Gibbs continued. “A key to our success has been the calibre of our highly educated, well trained and committed staff.

“We recruit only the best and we are fortunate that within Northern Ireland we have an excellent recruitment pool.

“To that end and as part of our recruitment drive, we are holding a Norbrook Recruitment Open Day in the Europa Hotel on 25th June to give interested candidates the opportunity to speak to our staff from a range of departments who can give them advice and guidance on the type of activities a job might entail and also outline the career opportunities which exist.”

The Norbrook Recruitment Open Day will run from 8.00am to 8.00pm on 25th June 2013 in the Europa Hotel.
