Police in South Down are appealing for information following reports of the theft of clothes from charity recycling bins at council amenity sites in Hilltown and Warrenpoint. The thefts are believed to have taken place sometime over the weekend of 4th and 5th May. Police would ask anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity near any of the council sites to contact them in Kilkeel on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111
