Man injured in Heather Park glass attack

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in Heather Park.

At around 2.30pm on Sunday, 3rd February, a 30 year old man was approached by two males and pushed down the steps. A glass object was used to strike him, causing cuts to his arm. The man was later treated in hospital for his injuries.

The two assailants are described as being in their mid 20s and both were wearing black, woolly hats. One of the males was wearing a blue hoody and the other a red Adidas hoody. Both spoke with foreign accents.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
