Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor Flynn said, “I warmly welcome the resurfacing of the Mill road. Residents approached me two years ago with concerns about the poor condition of the road.

“I have been campaigning since concerns were raised with me for Roads Service to improve the road surface.

“The uneven surface throughout the length of the road made it increasingly difficult for road users to drive on. I am now pleased that Roads Service have addressed this problem and have resurfaced the road.

He added, “I would like to thank the local residents for their patience and of course Roads Service for funding the work and the contractors for carrying out the resurfacing of the Mill road so efficiently.”
