Newry PSNI launch investigation into Barcroft knife incident

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an incident in the Barcroft Park area this afternoon.

Around 2.45am today, Friday, 23rd November, a man with a knife in his possession called to a house in the estate. The male resident answered and the caller demanded the resident’s car.

The resident refusedĀ and the man left on foot and walked further into Barcroft. The man is described as being 5ft 6in tall, of stocky build and was wearing a green and black lizard mask and hooded cape.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the man in the area or has information in relation to this incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
