Man injured in Ardgreen Drive assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in the Ardgreen Drive area of the city on Friday, 5th October. Some time between 8.45pm and 9.30pm a 39 year old man was walking from the bottom of the hill into Ardgreen Drive when he was assaulted by four males. One of the males spoke to him before he was attacked from behind. He sustained injuries to his hands and face. It is believed one of the assailants was wearing white trainers with blue stripes. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
