The official opening of Dromintee Primary School was held on Thursday 20th September and MP Connor Murphy and MLA Megan Fearon attended the historic event. Former Minister of Education Caitríona Ruane attended the opening and was one of the special guest speakers. Ms Fearon, a former pupil of Dromintee School, said, “I am pleased with the transformation that has occurred, whilst I acknowledge the hard work and effort that has been put in within the last few years to build this remarkable building, it is an effort that will prove beneficial to all members of our community.” Murphy echoed his Sinn Fein colleague’s sentiments. He added, “This is a very special occasion and I commend the success of both our current and previous Education Minsters for their endless work with the staff of Dromintee School to create this rewarding result.”
