‘Let’s talk about stammering’ information evening coming to Newry
An open information evening in conjunction with the McGuire programme Ireland is coming to Newry this month.
The evening, which aims to highlight and raise awareness on stammering, will take place in Newry arts centre on Thursday 20th September 2012 at 7.00 pm.
Stammering affects one in every 100 people, from all walks of life and all presentations will be interactive group sessions during each module with plenty of opportunities to speak.
Workshops are designed for the need to be aware of and understand the psychological impact of the drivers of stammering and to complement existing knowledge of stammering behaviour.
With the help and support of the McGuire programme, you can begin to take control of your stammer, so that the stammer no longer controls you, and you can be that person you always wanted to be.
