PSNI launch investigation into Camlough assault

Police in Newtownhamilton are appealing for information following an assault in the early hours of Wednesday 8th August. It was reported that a female in her 40s was in the Main Street, Quarter Road area of Camlough sometime between midnight and 12.30am when three men approached her, assaulted her and snatched her handbag. The woman needed hospital treatment for facial injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Newtownhamilton Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
