Police in Newry are appealing for information following the theft of a car from a car park at leisure facilities on Clanrye Avenue.

The car was stolen in Newry's Clanrye Avenue

On Sunday afternoon, 22nd July, car keys were taken from a locker in changing rooms at the facilities between 3.30pm and 4.20pm. A green coloured Volvo XC90 was subsequently taken from the car park and driven towards Monaghan Street. The car was recovered on Monday morning, 23rd July, in a car park in the city centre.

Police are keen to speak to a male person who entered the leisure facility around 3.30pm. He is described as being in his mid to late 20s, 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with short, dark hair. He was wearing a pink t-shirt, brown trousers, white trainers and dark sunglasses and was carrying a grey bag with pink handles and rolling a black suitcase.
