Police investigate Newry assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault which occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday 27th June.

At approximately 2.30pm, a 39 year old man was walking in the North Street area, near the Trevor Hill junction, when four men walked past him. One of the men punched him, causing a cut to his eyebrow which required hospital treatment.

The four men are all believed to be aged in their early 20s and headed on in the direction of Abbey Way. One of these men was wearing a red top, black bottoms with a white stripe down the side and white trainers. Two of the other men were wearing light coloured shirts, black bottoms and white trainers.
