Man suffers broken nose after Monaghan Street assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the report of an assault in a car park in the Monaghan Street area of Newry on Sunday, 10th June. At approximately 3.00am an unknown man got out of a white Peugeot 306 car and pushed another man to the ground and hit him in the face, with the injured man sustaining a broken nose. The alleged assailant is described as in his early 20s, approximately 5’10” with broad shoulders. Anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information is asked to contact Police at Ardmore on 0845 600 8000.
