Claragh Bridge now entering ninth year

Claragh Bridge Vintage Club held their annual general meeting on Wednesday 18th April in the Blacksmith’s Shop at Claragh.  Following re-election of officers and AGM business Chairperson Mr. Liam Quinn said that 2011 was one of the club’s busiest ever years since the founding of the club back in 2004. He added that the 2011 cross-community vintage classic and agricultural show attracted record entries and crowds attending the show at Drumaroad.

Chairperson Liam Quinn stated, “I wish to thank all officers, members and volunteers who gave so much of their time to the planning and organising last year’s show. Their efforts to date have helped raise over £30,000 since 2004 to assist local community, voluntary and charitable organisations. The 2012 show on Saturday 28th July promises to once again be a popular family day out with a wide range of various types of vehicles, events, competitions, exhibition stands, musical entertainment, and much more. Plus the old style Blacksmith’s Shop will be open to the public with a full range of traditional Blacksmith tools and equipment.”
