Community in mourning after missing man’s body found
The local community is in mourning today after the body of Crossmaglen man Padraig Campbell was recovered from a lake by Irish Police in County Monaghan. Newry Times has reported extensively over the past number of weeks about the missing man, after the PSNI and Padraig’s family grew increasingly concerned about his whereabouts. The 37 year old was last seen in the Culloville area of Castleblayney on Sunday, 18th March at around 8pm. Two canoeists made the discovery.
His body was taken from Lough Muckno near Castleblayney and removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for a post-mortem examination.
