Information sought following arson attacks on cars

Sinn Fein's has condemned the arson attacks

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following a number of arson attacks on cars. On Saturday 7th January, a Citroen Berlingo vehicle was set alight in a yard at Carnagat Cottages. It was reported at 6.34am. At 6.05am on Sunday 8th January, it was reported that a silver Vauxhall Corsa was on fire at Main Avenue, Derrybeg. At 2.29am on Tuesday 10th January, police received a report of a Vauxhall Astra on fire at Second Avenue. All vehicles were extensively damaged.

All three fires are being treated as arson. Police are investigating all three incidents and would appeal to anyone who has information in relation to any of these fires to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
