SOAR funding opportunities open
Slieve Gullion Councillor Colman Burns has alerted rural dwellers to the fact that SOAR Funding is now available for farm diversification projects. The Sinn Féin councillor said, “Applications can be made to SOAR between Monday 12th March and 11th May and grants of up to £50,000 are available. This is a good opportunity for those who may already be farming but are interested in maximising the use they can make of their farm business.”
He continued, “I have spoken to the staff at SOAR and they have informed me that a number of information ‘drop in’ sessions have been arranged which people can attend to talk over their plans with an experienced advisor. There are two such events in the South Armagh area, the first takes place on 20th March from 6pm – 8pm in Crossmaglen Community Centre and the second is on 27th March again from 6pm – 8pm in Ti Chulainn Centre, Mullaghban.”
